Maintenance Technician

 


Summary of Position

Performs a variety of routine maintenance including, but not limited to carpentry, painting, plumbing, and repairs of production/warehouse equipment. Ensures that facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment required to run production department and warehouse.
  • Maintains records pertaining to preventative maintenance.
  • Assemble, repair, and move furniture, such as tables, chairs, desks, etc.
  • Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of rentable items, building systems and related equipment; identifies and reports more complex maintenance needs to supervisor.
  • Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to supervisors.
  • Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required.
  • Monitors inventory, orders supplies, and maintains purchase records within authorized budget.
  • Performs related duties, as assigned by warehouse manager, director of operations, or maintenance supervisor.

 

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Familiarity with the company HACCP program as it relates to their work in the production area and warehouse.
  • Strong familiarity with the company Accident Prevention Program and all applicable safety rules related to position.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime.
  • Flexibility to be on call (in case of emergency).
  • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. throughout the day, frequent bending, stopping, pulling and lifting required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and as condition of continual employment must be able to pass all random and post-accident drug tests.
  • Has basic mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and welding knowledge.
  • Has Forklift Experience and or other powered industrial equipment experience.
  • Ability to take ownership and manage projects independently.
  • Maintains a clean driving record and ability to drive company equipment.


Schedule

Monday – Friday, Shift times: 7 am - 2:30 pm (on call when necessary)
